How to get the best out of your air conditioner

Preventative maintenance has proven to be the secret to getting the best out of your air conditioner. • Turn the air conditioning thermostat up a little bit especially when you are away. Close doors that are not being used or close vents in those rooms.

• Ensure that the air conditioning unit is the correct size for the room or the space being cooled. If the room is too large for a small air conditioner, the unit will have difficulty keeping it cool enough.

• Replace old air conditioners that are not as energy efficient as the newer ones are.
